Moncler Maya black – review after wearing it for a while

Hey everyone! I’ve had the Maya for some time now and wear it regularly, so I can share my thoughts on how it performs in everyday use.

First impressions
The jacket arrived quite stiff, but after hanging it up and giving it a gentle shake, it quickly returned to its proper shape. The wrinkles disappeared after a few hours, and the jacket became very puffy. The shine in person is even better than in the photos—the black color is deep, and the material captures light beautifully.

Material and finish
The coated nylon is smooth and even, with no scratches or discoloration. Since I’ve been wearing it, nothing has worn out or stained. The seams are simple, with no loose threads.

Piping and filling
The pockets are wide and even, and the seam lines are perfectly straight. The filling is distributed evenly, with nothing piled up in one spot. The jacket is light for its size. Warmth: [enter the temperature range you wear it at, e.g., around 0°C to –10°C].

Zipper and buttons
The thick zipper slides smoothly, without getting stuck or catching on the material. The sliders are sturdy, and the buttons on the hood and sleeves hold tightly, clicking clearly when fastened.

It’s detachable, large, and well-padded. It protects your head and ears in windy conditions, and when detached, the jacket looks clean and minimalist.

Sleeves and drawstrings
The elastic cuffs keep heat well in, and the drawstrings allow you to adjust the fit to match gloves or a thin hoodie.

Logo
The patch on the sleeve is purely embroidered, with vivid colors and even stitching. Nothing has peeled off or frayed after wearing it all this time.

Fit

Downsides

The painted fabric shows fingerprints and gets dirty easily.
With such a shine, every wrinkle is visible.
