Review of Arc’teryx GORE-TEX – bought from Dreamremake, water resistance test, and what it looks like.
Seller: Dreamremake (west42.x.yupoo.com) – I bought from Kakobuy, and it was insanely cheap.
Appearance and construction:
The fit is just like the original version—no sagging at all. The logo on the chest is straight, the embroidery is clean, and it doesn’t wear out over time. The hood is stiff and stays in shape. The zippers work smoothly, and the seams are even and taped properly. The GORE-TEX label is sharp with no misspelled letters, and the patches are also great.
Water test:
I rinsed the sleeves and hood straight from the tap – the water runs in droplets instead of soaking in, and the material becomes slightly matte like real GORE-TEX. It’s dry inside after just a few minutes. It’s fine even in the rain; it doesn’t get wet.
Downsides:
The material is a bit stiff and rustly at first; it needs to be stretched out a bit. Other than that, it’s hard to snag.
For this price – I’d recommend going by guess. The quality isn’t much different from the seller’s photos. If someone’s looking for something cheaper, there’s Sharkbreeder, but Dreamremake is on a whole other level.
